Three “Getting Acquainted” (with one another and with AllLearn’s chat technology) live chat opportunities are scheduled this week. Since there is nearly a half-day clock-time spread between those in this course who are most far-flung from one another, these introductory chat sessions between November 4 and 8 at the times that seem to be most convenient for all concerned. I am also willing to schedule a fourth one at another time for anyone(s) unable to make one of these three, so long as I have a few options to choose from. Please do not refrain from joining the chat sessions out of a feeling that you are “behind” with your coursework. There is no 8-ball in the chat room. It is not necessary for everyone to attend each chat session, which is why multiple sessions are being offered. All chat sessions will be subsequently posted to the “Chat Sessions” discussion thread in the "General Discussions" category, where they can be reviewed by non-attendees. If past experience is a reliable guide, these introductory chats will consist mostly of getting to know one another and becoming familiar with the chat-room’s “technology.” Subsequent chat sessions (two or three weekly) will be scheduled on the basis of what works best in actual practice for our introductory chats. PLEASE NOTE that the suggested times for the introductory chats listed below are Pacific Standard Time (PST). To assist you in checking their corresponding times in your time zone, see http://www.timeanddate.com . I can most readily determine the best times to schedule the introductory chats after each of you has let me know which of the following days/times will NOT work for you. Monday, November 4, 10 p.m. PST Tuesday, November 5, 7 a.m. PST Wednesday, November 6, 12 noon PST Thursday, November 7, 7 a.m. PST Friday, November 8, 12 noon PST Please also let me know which if any of the three times (7 a.m. PST, Noon PST and 10 p.m. PST) will NEVER work for you. Unless it turns out that an overwhelming majority cannot accommodate the November 4, 10 p.m. PST chat session, please consider it a go if you are not informed by me to the contrary. Dear Power of Forgiveness course participants, Various contingencies (including my forgetfulness) have kept me from the chat room thus far, and right now my wife has a dental emergency that will prevent me from attending today's session at noon, PDST. I have thereby created a forgiveness opportunity for all concerned. Forgiving myself will take the form of my "making amends," by scheduling additional chat sessions during the course as well as during the week after it is over. Please accept my apologies for lapsing in my usually punctillious attention to my commitments. Loving Life!! Noel McInnis noelmcinnis@choosingforgiveness.org
